“Behind every trucker and truck journey is a story and a reason why they drive.”

This portrait series grew out of a documentary I was filming about truck drivers in the USA as part of an advertising campaign. The portraits extend that work, focusing on the people behind the wheel and the lives shaped by their work on the road.

Alongside the film, the photographs explore the drivers’ experiences of time away from family, the solitude of the job and the pride they take in what they do.
